You will find our Kitchen & Bathroom showroom on the first floor of our family run independent Builders Merchants in the rural Herefordshire town of Kington. Our showroom which was refurbished during 2025/26 offers a relaxed environment featuring nine Kitchen displays. We have a mixture of modern and traditional Kitchens. The displays are finished off with quartz, porcelain, Mirostone, solid timber and laminate worktops. Appliances are supplied by Neff and Prima with Clearwater, Perrin & Rowe and Shaws sinks and taps providing everything you should for your next Kitchen.

Our showroom team has access to the latest CAD design software from Articad. Which means they can put together realistic images of what your next Kitchen might look like. Our showroom is also stocked with a wide range of samples which you are welcome to take home on loan.

Omega PLC based in Doncaster Yorkshire were founded in 1992 by Sir Bob Murray. Omega PLC are a brand leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of high-quality British made kitchen furniture.

They operate from a purpose built 405,000 square feet factory, warehouse, and offices in Thorne Doncaster.

Founded in 1971 Symphony has proudly been manufacturing in Yorkshire for over 50 years. In this time Symphony has grown to become the UK’s largest privately owned manufacturer of fitted units. They operate across Yorkshire in several purpose built manufacturing sites.

Firstly choice, with Symphony and Omega we have a fantastic range of products available to cater for all budgets. At the premium end there is Mackintosh. Mackintosh units are made to order on a doweled and glued rigid cabinet, then there is Symphonys units supplied on more cost effective cam and dowel rigid cabinet and finally when access is restricted Chippenale’s ready to assemble flat packed range.

Both Symphony and Omega have a 30 day no quibble free of charge replacement should a remedial be required. Alongside manufacturer guarantees.They have an extensive range of painted kitchens which are painted in their own factories so no outsourcing. They use hinges, drawer runners and cabinet internals from industry leading European manufacturers.

Kington Building Supplies provide a free Kitchen survey within the local area.

We will measure your Kitchen and take notes of all your ideas. We will then take all this information back to KBS with us where we will then put together your plans and quotes. We can then either email or post your plans and quotes or better still we can put together an instore presentation where we can talk you through your plans and quotes and answer any questions you might have.

1) Take your time, Buying a new Kitchen is probably going to be most people’s third biggest expense after buying a house or car. Don’t be rushed or pressured into going for the first plan and quote for your Kitchen. Take your time to properly go over every detail and never be worried about asking for the plan to be altered. If price is an issue don’t be scared off by your first quote and go elsewhere. At KBS we will always work with you and look at alternatives to bring the cost of your Kitchen down. For example, your first quote might be for a painted rigid Kitchen to reduce costs by several 100s of pounds you could go for a rigid non-painted kitchen or to reduce the price further you could go for a flat packed kitchen.

2) Don’t compromise your dream Kitchen by getting it badly installed. Ensure you find an experienced professional Kitchen fitter. Ask friends, family or speak to your local Independent Kitchen Showroom for recommendation’s. 3) Don’t be fooled by Kitchen Sales from the big chains. If you’re looking for a new Kitchen, you are sure to of seen the major chains offering 50% off sales. How could you resist that? Sales like this just seem to be too good to be true. Of course, as the old saying goes, if something looks too good to be true it probably is, and that’s certainly the case with these types of sales. The truth is that the big chain stores mislead you by doubling the retail price of their units for the sale period so that they can then give you 50% off. At KBS we believe in fair prices all year round. So don’t be fooled by the big discounts the most important thing is the total price you pay for your Kitchen not how much you get off.

4) Look inside the cabinets and don’t be fooled by how a Kitchen looks from the outside. Good quality cabinets are generally 18mm thick, come with solid back panels, void spaces for pipe work/electrics and will come with branded hinges and drawer runners from leading European manufactures such as Grass and Kessebohmer. Many big chains will make big savings here meaning bigger profits for them by using budget 15mm cabinets often only available in just white with thin flimsy back panels along with budget hinges and drawer runners. So don’t be frighted to open up the units and have a good look and ask lots of questions which any experienced Kitchen designer will be more than happy to answer.

5) Like with the cabinets also take a close look at the doors and how they are made. There are many different types and styles of doors ranging from simple melamine faced chipboard doors, PVC foil wrapped MDF doors, Painted MDF doors, solid timber doors and painted solid timber doors. When getting a Kitchen quoted from different retailers remember to compare genuine like for like. It can be very easy to think you have been quoted for a painted timber or MDF door when in fact it is just a PVC foil wrapped MDF door and then getting a comparative quote from another retailer which is a genuine timber painted door which can be several hundreds of pounds more.

Mirostone Solid Surface worktop is a cheaper alternative to traditional solid surface worktops. Mirostone is a man-made acrylic worktop which can be installed on site with standard wood working tools. It can be jointed leaving inconspicuous joints making it easy to wipe down and clean.

Mirostone avoids the delays of templating and fabrication of other solid surface worktops, granites, and quartz.

You will find one of our Kitchen displays fitted with Mirostone featuring a curved corner, undermounted St/Steel sink and Mirostone splashbacks.

We are a supply only business meaning we do not offer a fitting service. Don’t let this put you off though. In most cases it works out much cheaper to purchase your Kitchen separately and pay for your own fitter.
